Water Tower Maintenance

Swisher EST

Starting on January 25th, 2021, LCMUA will begin scheduled maintenance on the elevated water storage tank, located in the City of Lake Dallas at the intersection of Shady Shores Road and Swisher Road.  The maintenance will include sanding and removing the old paint, and replacing it with a new, fresh coat.  But that's not all!  We will also be adding an altitude valve to help better control water levels and will be relocating the overflow discharge pipe to divert water from flowing into Shady Shores and Swisher Roads.  Additional maintenance will be geared towards upgrading the tower to meet current Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) standards .  In order to safely achieve all these activities, a shroud will need to be placed around the tank to keep debris contained within.  We expect the maintenance will keep the tank out of service until late April of 2021.  This maintenance will not impact our ability to provide Superior Water to our customers.  We appreciate your understanding and patience.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding this maintenance, please contact Devin Shields at or 940-269-4348.
